As an independent beer company that distributes its handcrafted beers to local restaurants and bars, Fort Point Beer Company was using a web-based application that was developed internally for its drivers to track beer deliveries and invoice clients.
However, the app was not able to integrate with existing systems or portable printers and did not offer an offline mode for drivers who faced poor network connectivity, making it difficult for them to perform their daily responsibilities.
To provide a better experience for drivers, Fort Point Beer approached EPAM Startups & SMBs for help in building a more robust, native mobile app.
Through the close collaboration between EPAM Startups & SMBs and Fort Point Beer, a new native application for iOS was developed in one month with an offline mode that was seamlessly integrated with the client’s printers and existing CRM.
This enhanced functionality allows drivers to access the app at any time, print invoices on-the-go regardless of their location and easily input important data into the CRM to track sales and inventory. The app is currently in use by all Fort Point Beer drivers, who have been satisfied with the app and have not encountered any usability or functionality issues to date.
Following the project’s success, one engineer from EPAM Startups & SMBs is still working with the client to implement new features into Fort Point Beer’s CRM to help improve their performance.
